Disclaimer:
Well, this isnt really an oh my life is so bad post, this is a my confusing unclear life post.

I guess ill break up what is confusing for me in my life into sections.

Religion:
U know, religion is a very interesting thing. People go extreme and start killing people and isolating themselves from people, yet, it can be extremely fulfilling. Its funny, for every Ghandi and Martin Luther King, there are a million people who use religion to justify unjust things. It makes things hard finding where you are and where you stand with god. What does god want. To say read the bible is hard for me to digest. I read it and some of it makes sense - but, to really look at it, the bible is all 2nd hand information. We really dont know what happened and well it gets manipulated within te translations. So, how do we really know what god wants. Parts of it do make sense though, like, Mathew 24. That is a really interesting passage and ive kinda have had an experience with it that gives it major relevance in my life. Then ofcourse, theres Psalm 23 which has major significane for how i feel in life. What really interests me though is there are people like Ghandi who seem to live the life of Christ, yet, they are bad because they follow a different religion.

How Mathew 24 fits into my life is that i was sorta following a version of christianity with a false prophet. BUt, deep down inside me, i knew it was wrong and well it broke off from it. I did about a year of follwoing it though. It also shunned me from all religion too. What bugged me about the whole aspect that, despite good character and how well i treated her, a girl broke it off with me when i said i could follow it, i felt he was a false prophet. *Shrugs* Now that makes you feel less of a person to a degree, for some one to claim to care so much for you but break it off because of that. Oh well, thats life though!.

I just wonder, who is god, and how do we really find him. I dont trust the bible or any organised religion or preacher. Most seem to have their own agenda, and that, not being which differs far from being what my glimpse of what god wants. *Laugh* Theres is one think im sure of and that is god isnt a republican!!! But, when searching for somthing greater, it all leads u wanting and confused....

My Life direction:

Currently im in an Electronic Engineering Technology degree program. I search the want add and the problem is i see no job. I see no advertisments requesting for position in this field. This is the same with monster.ca and workopolis.com and jobshark.ca. I see very little in the way of companies seeking people in my career. That makes my outlook bleak. I wanted to be able to, when i go (if i can find a placement) on my co operative education to take some Distance University courses to get a degree. But, finding a good job with decent finances is looking very bleak. So, im quite lost over here into what i need to do, and i guess what god wants me to do. U know, i really want to get on with my life, and to do that i need a good job. Id like to travel and such also, but that dosnt look like ill be able to do that for a long time. Its extremely frustrating!.

So, does anyone have any advice out there. Im especially looking for advice to my potential employment situation. I really dont know where to look. Icant seem to find any trade magazines and i dont know where the hidden job market is for my field. I rather no pay all this money for schooling and end up with a 9 dollar an hour job. I want a decent job. I need to pay debts and stuff and well there is nothing there. SO really, i need some advice on what to do here, or any places where my diploma program can be applied. Any ideas?

thanx listening to my little rant

Religion: This takes immense personal consideration. I don't know what to tell you except that you know that God doesn't want anybody to hurt.

Job: I don't know where in Canada you live, but if you live in south Ca, you might want to try finding a job in the US, there are plenty of cities near the US/Canada border.

1. Men have made Bible quotations "mean" a whole lot of things that they weren't intended to mean.
2. There's an interesting thing about the copies of scripture. They are documentedly unchanged doctrinally speaking, for millennia.
3. God is neither Republican nor Democrat. Alot of Republicans fall short on compassion, and Democrats on righteousness.

Ive noticed some differences from the NIV to the KJV, so i dont know about that. Regardless, this really isnt what the whole post is about. Its about seeking, confusion, and, well, just wanting to get on with my life.

well, OK, but another comment related to NIV vs. KJV. The KJV is a fairly decent translation, but you have to keep in mind that some English words have different meaning now than back in the 17th century. For example, "conversation" meant lifestyle, and how many people know what "concupiscence" means?
