I'm pretty sure I'll have to replace it, but I'd thought I share this.

One day I woke up and noticed my DVD-ROM try was ejected. I pushed it back in. You know what happened next? The son of bitch popped right back out. I push, it pops. I push, it pops.
It's pretty weird, never seen it happen before. It's like Ha Satan has possessed the innards of my computer in order to capture my soul.
I'm looking at the mother fucker right now. Popped out, like it knows it shouldn't be. Mocking me. I can almost hear its evil laugh.

ha

haa

I stare at the evil disc tray and I'm slowly filled with the urge to kill.....

Anyways... Anyone else have this happen before?

Seek help. Not from a computer person.

Yup. I worked on a computer that had this exact same problem.

It's either a virus or your drive is on the way out.

My PS2 has done the opposite plenty of times...
VERY annoying.

Yep... happened to my old 2x Philips DVD-ROM drive about 6 months ago. On the occasion that it actually would keep the tray in, it wouldn't read any discs at all. If it's not a virus, the drive is likely dead/dying.
