First-- and not to sound sexist or anything, but-- cars are a lot like women . . . They get very jealous and hostile when they know you're looking around. I would never glance at another woman, but my car is a different story. It's an 88, with 315 thousand miles on it, rusted out on the bottom to almost nothing, leaks oil/coolant/power stearing fluid, heat gauge is broken, thermostat is stuck, AC is broken, shocks are shot, and the radio works only when it feels like it.

Well, I had decided to get a new car next month (when I'll be getting a nice fat check and not have to pay rent/security/loans/insurance/etc... as I do for my next 2 checks) . . . To make a long story short, MY CAR WANTS ME DEAD . . . The brakes have decided to work only when they want to. In other words, they only work if I press them in half way. If I press any farther, it's as if I'm lifting my foot right off . . . . . Almost hit an 18-wheeler today as a result.

So, I'm left in the situation of either:
1) Pay to get brakes fixed, just to get a new car a month from now anyway.
2) Get my new car now (which is something I don't have the money for).

I had a conversation with my ex today. Nothing bad or unusual about the call, but it just got me thinking about another person from my past . . . The one that got away because I was a f#ck!ng idiot and had to be a "good person" instead of going for what we both wanted. In any case, I was just thinking and got quite depressed about the whole thing.

It's kind of depressing knowing who your one true love is, when your one true love is married to someone else . . . and has a child . . . and is expecting twins. Kind of sad to know that the best I can ever hope for is second best.

Well, my day/week has pretty muched sucked all around. There's more to it than just cars and women, but it's 3am and I need to get up in the morning.

1. About the car...I'd take the bus to work for the next couple of weeks. I had an AMC Hornet that wanted me dead. Almost got me too.
2. About the woman..Damn, I'm sorry to hear that. The only one from my past that I've thought about in the last five years (cept for Beth) is married with kids now too. I sympathize.
Things will get better.

I know how you feel, my car broke down last wednesday for no reason, she had 204K miles on her, don't know how the hell it passed inspection, well it was towed on thursday and I found out where it was on monday, well the fee for the tow and storage was $125, I just looked at the guy and said "Here's the title and the keys, can you get me my plates", I'm getting an old pickup tomorrow and transferring the plates on friday, that's $80 down and the other $420 whenever and probably $50 for the transfer of the plates and it is inspectable right now so that's just another $25. I hope you find something yourself bud. <img src=smilies/thumb.gif>

That sure beats paying someone to take the peice of junk to the wreckers only for them to make money to sell parts off of it!

Hahahaha... I'm currently in the south western Berkshires of MA. In other words, there is no bus.
