Take your cheesy christmas music and SHOVE IT

I HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE HATE this time of year.

I HATE IT

At the diner last night it was all-christmas, all the time. Damnit.

If you want to hear christmas music, BUY A CD. Why do we all have to suffer for your hypocritical christian lifestyle?

When you're done with the CD, take it out of the player, snap it in half, and slice your wrists with it.

I work in a mall (at a toy store too) and I agree...the Christmas spirit can go screw itself.

I like Christmas...the pleasant day itself when the family gathers around, watches Christmas movies, opens presents, eats a nice meal, etc. What I fucking hate are the all-relatives parties that are before Christmas. I could definitely do without those.

I have to agree. I mean most of the traditional Christmas songs were cool when I heard them the first 2 or 3 times when I was little. 39847983628768412 times later, I'm ready to shoot the songwriters.

I agree. Jesus or Yashua in his native toungue according to the gospels could not have been born in December or any time in winter. The shephers that visited him would've not had their flocks out in the freezing Palestine night.

December 25th is the birthday of several Pagan demigods like Tammuz and Krishna. It was adopted by the Roman Church in constantine's time to garner more pagan converts. The same is true with Easter, Lent, and Halloween. All these pagan festivals under Christian names.

To celebrate these pagan feasts in the name of the One true G-d is a sacrelige.

I agree. Christianity supplanting paganism was a horrible idea that allowed the Vatican political and spiritual hegemony Europe and beyond that remains to this day, in splintered form. It's too bad those stubborn hold-outs the Vikings eventually gave in to the sweet allure of political alliances with Christian lands and didn't remain pagan, landing on beaches and pillaging monastaries, exploring and settling new territories farther north than any Christians would dare go, what with their attitude of "Oooh, I'm so cold, give me a blanket!! Waaaahhh! I'm so cold! Jesus, give me a blanket! You turned water into wine, now turn this guy standing next to me into a blanket!! Waaaah Waaaaaah! I'm cold!!"

Oh wait, that's not even CLOSE to what you were trying to say, is it?

i dislike the commercialization of christmas, i dislike much of christmas music, especially anything beyond like the 60s, and i most definitely do not appreciate the people who completely disregard the meaning of christmas. yes, we all know christmas is not the real birthday of christ, but it's the idea that counts. just like easter is not the real time of death of christ. it's the idea that counts. actually, to tell the truth, it is my opinion that neither is anywhere near correct for either, christmas is, however, closer to his death, and easter is closer to his birth, i think he was born sooner than easter though, and that he died sooner than christmas, probably died in autumn sometime

We had a Halloween store and on weekends, we listened to nothing but Halloween music. Right after the store closed, the mall people put up the christmas decorations and the holiday music. Soooooo I've had to deal with holiday music in some form since like mid-September.

Welcome to the world of capitalism, my friend. They have to please their biggest market. This will bite them eventually, though, cause stuffy white Christians are becoming an ever smaller market as time goes on.

BLARGH! I just started working for Best Buy...so yea that's the 7th year of working retail for the "holidays" and yea I'm so bloody fucking sick of holiday music that I could blow chunks from Nov. 24th to Jan 1st. I like spending quality time with friends and family...but w/o the commercialization of "christmas" "xmas" whatever those people call it. Most of us (my friends/family) celebrate life and family/friendship and not some bogus holiday. If I have to work retail 1 more year to stay fed and housed during the "holidays " I'm going to just go on a GTA3 style rampage starting with Hallmark.

my dad lives across from a chruch, and i know from when i was at holiday there, it is externly annoying. i suggested he play some hip hop real loud some saturday morning.

christmas songs just suck, full stop. kill kill kill those damn christmas songwriters who write songs while smoking tea leaves...

something i really hate is how some places in australia try to pretend we have a white christmas, which is far from the truth.

Not sure I agree. Christmas profit may fluctuate, but I see no reason to believe it's going anywhere. Plus, I'm a fan of the holiday. It's fun!

I agree partly. Grafting pagan religious ideas and adopting their religio-politcal priesthood in the form of Priests and Pontiffs. The Pope still the holds the pagan title the Hellenistic Ceasers once held, "Pointifex Maximus" which allowed for the Papacy to subvert learning and persecute any derivtation from their new pagan doctrines. (Such as true Christian beleives such as the Ebionites, Nazarenes, The Arian Gothic Tribes, Albigenisians, Waldensians, etc.

pretty much everything I see from a different view.
