My opinions on suicide are also probably vastly different than the majority here as well. Don't want to get into it, cause it'll only get people pissed/cause trouble, but just so you understand that I don't mean "funny" in any disrespectful way like that.

Suicide is ignorant. People who talk about are craved for attention, people who commit it are also craved for attention. Suicide is selfish... a permenent solution to a temperary problem. And don't reply to me saying I don't know what I'm talking about or that I haven't seen it. In Junior High a friend on the football team commited suicide because he was going to be held back, and I won't forgive him for it. It was selfish, and he got his attention... but in less than a month we were back to our lives, and he was forgotten. It's stupid, and selfish... and people consitering it need to wake up and realize that it's hurting other people too. Son of a bitch, why do you make me defend what was OBVIOUSLY a harmless joke. God.

How do you know they are even suicidal? Did you forget that this is a message board? People who talk about it could be very well sitting on the other side laughing thier asses off as people pour thier hearts into replies.

I never made light of suicide itself, suicide as a reality is selfish. Why can't you see that? The pain over a loss of a boyfriend/girlfriend can be DELT with, the pain over getting held back can be DELT with, bitching about it isn't a good thing. 99% percent of "suicidal" people are searching for attention. And if you are going through that kind of pain... seek help, not temperary freedom on a message board. If you are close to that person, GET them help... don't think that talking to them while the situation gets worse and worse is going to make things better. It won't. I KNOW.

Who cares if I haven't been suicidal myself? Thank God. But the one regret I do have is not telling that person what the fuck he did to me, and the people who cared about him, to his mother.... and HOW FUCKING STUPID IT WAS. Sometimes you can sense it, sometimes you can't. When you can, get that person help... because you can't help them. Don't think your doing them a favor by not telling anybody.

So what. I made jokes to forget about it, to even "make light of it" if you will. MY Friend DID commit suicide, and I'll never forgive him for it... no matter how hard I could try.
