with the presidential election about two weeks away, who will you be voting for?

preferably, write the name of your candidate, and if completely necessary, a *short* reason why. also, respondents: don't hate on people's choices. this is simply a "where we all stand" question, nothing more.

i will cast my vote for Michael Badnarik of the Libertarian Party.

John Kerry. Bush has fucked up the economy enough. Kerry also supports stem cell research and will not legislate(sp??) abortion or the banning of gay marrage.

Noone. I'm Canadian. &lt;/smartass&gt;

That said, I voted Conservative this summer, for those who follow the politics up here in Soviet Canuckistan. They were closest to my rather bizarre political beliefs.

Need I say anything at all? <img src=smilies/cwm11.gif>
Maybe we should conduct a poll, instead. That could be interesting.

I'm not fond of either man, but I'm less fond of Bush so I'm not voting for him. Just like most Americans in the last election.

Oddly enough, I'm seeing quite a bit of lawn signs for him around my area. I really didn't know what to make of it at first....I thought it was some local election or a congressional candidate, but sure enough...."Michael Badnarik, Libertarian for President". I've also seen ads on TV for some ultra-conservative ultra-religious guy (Michael Peroutka I think....Constitution party I belive) running for president too....which again is really odd. And all this time, I have yet to see any kind of advertisement for Nader....because damnit, if you're going to run, at least fucking advertise some....sheesh.

But after serious consideration, I think I'll be casting my vote for Jack "Grimey" Grimes (http://www.politics1.com/ind04.htm#grimes)....talk about screwed.

I recently created a poll here that lists all the major candidates. I only knew the first 5 off the top of my head. The rest are fairly weird... I can't imagine any sane person voting for the Constitution or Prohibition party. Badnarik, Cobb or Nader I don't so much have a problem with... the rest of them are weirdos.

If people want more options in a 2 party system, start creating parties that actually break up the system. An array of extremist candidates will change nothing. You guys should read the rhetoric from the prohibitionists! No more alcohol, drugs, pornography, cursing in public, smoking ect. Unrealistic goals don't sway voters.

I think you could logically break conservatives and liberals into 4-5 categories, though. But this won't happen.
