Blackout

On Saturday we had a blackout in my section of Manhattan. Luckily they had it fixed around eveningtime. (I don't know the exact time that power was restored because I was napping, because without air conditioning the apartment was gettin fairly warm by late afternnon.) A blackout may not seem like a big annoyance to some people who get them more frequently, but I'm glad they restored power then, because all the hallway and stair emergency lights had used up their batteries after the first few hours, and I live on the thirteenth floor, and I didn't have any running water because the building's water pumps had no power. =P
