i was going to post a comment to an http://www.kuro5hin.org/story/2002/7/14/163541/660article</a> i saw on k5, but i figured i ought to vent here.
"OOOOH! LET'S FLOOD THE SYSTEM WITH FAKE DATA!!"
Why is everyone being SO stupid about this? Your tax money is already being spent on the project...screwing it up on purpose only wastes even more of it.
If it does happen, despite all the negative reactions, the least you could do is go along with it until the next election...at that point, the new person you vote in can shut things down without wasting more time and money.
Remember, YOU put these people in office. YOU can remove them. If you didn't vote in the elections which put these people in power, then stop posting in this article, stop whining, and go register to vote.
It's only a matter of time until the Constitution and Bill of Rights are unconstitutional....or just certain parts which contain "God"... And since we're such a "legal" society now, I'm sure the entire document will be declared null and void since there wasn't a specific clause stating that if one section is deemed inappropriate and illegal, the others will survive. I'd continue talking about this, but I have to go sue Sheetz for selling me a slurpee without a warning that it may irritate my new fillings in my teeth and give me a brain freeze.
i wish there were a way to actually talk to these people and have them listen. the president gets thousands of letters each day...and someone else screens them...and responds.
tom ridge..the guy who runs the new homeland security thing...used to be the governor for pennsylvania. he lived 10 minutes from me. i passed his house every day. i see his family. i knew his daughter. i even had a nice chat with her (while 2 angry looking security folks were staring at me) at a high school hockey game. his family might still live in harrisburg. i know people who are his friends. maybe i can pull some strings and actually talk to him and have him set something up so i can talk to ashcroft or bush. ashcroft works for ME. bush works for ME. they serve ME. it's their DUTY to listen to me. and if push comes to shove, you sumumabitch, i put you in office...i'll take you out of office.
people pick on you in high school. you ignore them. they go away.
anti-zd kiddies bother me and disrupt the site. i ignored them. they went away.
