Sweet, I was beginning to wonder what had happened to this project. Keep up the good work. :)

It ran most tracks on my 400 celeron, a few Zelda and Goldeneye tracks ran slow, though.

Damn my stupidity, I used the wrong set of track titles and didn't credit the person who put them together...

The Zelda USF set now uses mouser_x's titles and timings and file names and actually includes his name.

You seriously rock dude, you rock. Hehe, now I have a whole (more or less) Ocarina of Time soundtrack. :D

One question though...you said the format had changed, does that means its official now? Just curious.

I was hoping you'd do something like this. That's a great addition to the regular tags you had already. :)

As far as I'm concerned its official. The only change was that all data is now in the reserved area of the PSF structure, which has no assumptions about format. PSF2 uses this as well, since it contains a filesystem image instead of a compressed program. It was merely a technicality but it may help with compatibility issues in the future. I decided not to keep support for the old format to discourage people from holding on to the old versions.

BTW, Goldeneye doesn't have to be reripped, it just needs to be converted to the new format (and it has to include the bug tag so it won't use the recompiler). I could have done it myself but I figure someone42 still has some work to do.

Ah, that's what I was wondering...I remember reading on PSF Rippers it must have been that the original files weren't quite following the full PSF spec and were choking on some of the tools related to the format that were out there. That's cool then, and keep up the great work. :)

Hm, and at first listen I don't think I hear those tempo problems I heard before. Like Cornelius said you truly are a genius my good man.

Yes indeed!
Narvick has a slightly out of date page already set up, just update with the new sets and player and you should be good to go.
You might want to leave Goldeneye off until someone42 has cleared it for release.

In theory I could rip v1.1 or v1.2 just for that track, but I have no interest in doing that right now. I figured that since the original version was the rarest it would be the best to use.

Main thing I would like to see ripped, is not blast corps (even though I have favorites there), but actually Wonder Project J 2, as I believe that was one of the last games Akihiko Mori composed for.

All of the games that Akihiko Mori Composed for, or worked on, as far as I know.

Bounty Sword
Gokinjo Bouken Tai
Mystic Ark
Seifuku Densetsu - Pretty Fighter
Shien, The Blade Chaser (US release is "Shien's Revenge")
Wonder Project J
Wonder Project J 2

He passed away in the late 1990's, from cancer.

Just thought I'd point out a minor discrepancy on the USF Archive on ZD... It says on the top of the page that WinRAR or a program that can hande *.rar files is needed, when in fact they are all ZIP files, at least so far. <img src=smilies/thumb.gif>

Are you using the new USF rips? A rerip of Goldeneye hasn't been completed yet, but my new version of Super Mario 64 is both on ZD and my website. Your error sounds like its caused by using an old USF in the new player.

Doesn't anyone here realize that 5.x is free, and the PRO version is what you can pay for if you so desire? I'm using the free version of 5.x right now. :P

As I recall, all 5.x Pro has over the free version is that it can rip CDs faster, and can rip to any quality of MP3 as it already could with AAC.

Hrm, stickies are a little confusing...

New version out, fixes the long-standing recompiler bug with Pilot Wings and Goldeneye (though the new set isn't out yet I've tested it and it should work).
Other improvements as listed on http://hcs.freeshell.orgmy web site</a>...

Didn't the Pilotwings set have a flag set to send the plugin into interpreter mode for it to work (so we wouldn't have to keep switching between recompiler and interpreter modes)? Has anything happened with that?

Yes, the new version of 64th Note ignores that flag since it is no longer needed.

I'm having some problems with some USFs and the ASIO output plugin... The whole Mario Kart 64 set is not working at all, it crashes. I'm using Winamp 2, by the way. It works with the DirectSound plugin, but it sounds so much better with ASIO... :(

Do you have any idea on what could be causing it? Is it the ASIO plugin or is it yours?

Oh, and thanks for your wonderful idea. USFs rock. :)

I don't even know what ASIO is, but I downloaded a plugin to check it out, anyway. The only problem I had was a message saying "Error opening output plugin" or such. The plugin I used to test can be downloaded here: http://www3.cypress.ne.jp/otachan/out_asio(dll)_047.zip (Using Winamp 5.01)

I just finished tagging the Space Station: Silicon Valley set that hcs ripped. As I can't access the Zophar's Domain FTP at this time, feel free to go <a href"http://cscidbw.etsu.edu/zrah2/usf.html">here</a> until such time that it can be uploaded to ZD. This game easily has some of the longest tracks of any N64 game, as most of the tracks are in the vicinity of 3 minutes before they loop.

You were offline at the time, so I wasn't sure when you would get it, and I figured that by uploading it to my webspace it would give you (and others) access to it.

Sweet. I remember really liking the music in this game.
