Around three days ago I beat , so I was looking for a new roguelike to play, so I picked up noeGNUd (http://www.t-o-m-e.net>Troubles), Ancient Domains of Mystery (http://nethack.org/>Nethack,).

I've spent the last three hours playing ADOM, and I'm loving every minute of it.

I love roguelikes.

I really hope Nethack has improved since the last time I played it (I had a shitty Mac version which was absolutly horrible).

I havn't tried very many, but http://www.piratehaven.org/~beej/moria/Moria still kicks my ass to this day. I've been playing it on and off for like 10 years now.

There's sort of like an upgraded version of Moria out called Angband, although I tried it and didn't like it that much (they could've done a much better job with it). Anyway... I still recommend Moria to people even to this day, despite its complete lack of graphics and sound. I'll have to check out some of those others you mentioned.

Troubles of Middle Earth is a really souped up version of Angband. Very fun.

Oh man...I used to play ADOM all the time...I remember my high level Paladin Ataru-Chan. :P He was doing good, then he got overwhelmed by some heavy monsters in a cavern, I think it was. Poor poor Ataru.

What exactly did you not like about Angband?
