So I watched the Governator's speech on tv. I'll definitely say I thought the speech was a good one (and certainly better than trying to sit through watching the bush daughters bungle their way through dubya's intro). It hasn't changed my mind but certainly brownie points to him for a good talk.

I would like to see Donald Trump or Henry Rollins become president. But seriously though. "Economic girly men" is the coolest political jibe ever.

I'd personally hope to see Colin Powell against Hilary, even though that probably won't happen (And we're all confident that if Bush wins, Hilary will be running). I don't believe she could possibly want Kerry to win this election... because in 8 years, age would be significant issue.

I'm enjoying the convention, but I also enjoyed listening to all the Democratic speeches too. I'm especially excited to hear Zell Miller speak, Arnold was excellent and I hope to hear a good speech from our president. As for the DNC, I thought that Clinton and Sharpton were the best of the speakers.

If Powell ran against Hillary, that would be one hell of a race. There are a lot of people who would love to see him run in the near future.

I seriously wouldn't know who to vote for...both excellent candidates.

Wow. It would be between a woman and an African American... that's awesome. Shows how far we've come as a society. And I'd vote for Powell in a second.

I suppose that, considering McCain will probably not run for president again (and if he did would never win the nom anyways), Powell would be a good guy to go to for 2008. One of the main problems I have with Bush, Kerry, and then Hilary in 2008 is that none of them would be able to work well with both parties, whether they want to or not. For the most part, democrats hate Bush and republicans hate Kerry and Hilary.
That's one thing I love about McCain...he is a man of action and gets shit done in the senate, can work with anyone and everyone to put plans into action, and doesn't have blind faith in his party. They showed Hannity interviewing him yesterday on Fox News, and although Hannity was, as usual, trying to push him into bashing Kerry like he does with every single person he interviews these days, McCain was staunch in his opinion that both sides have issues to work on, and the campaign finance laws that should be prohibiting 527s like the SBVFW and the Bush bashing ones aren't being enforced like they're supposed to.

I just don't know whether people get offended by the word "black", and it seems that some people do-- so I often try to be sensitive in the politically correct realm to avoid uncessesary bickering. I think such sensitive wording is ridiculous, but I'll mind my toungue in an increasingly liberal society (and namely, on a forum such as this).
