We have all at one time or another browsed the bargain bin at our local game store, or some other retail store. So what is the coolest thing you have ever found there?

I would have to say mine was a copy of Persona 2 in almost perfect condition (just had a missing case) for only $10. For $10 you don't expect much, but this game totally met and exceeded my money's worth.

You found Suikoden and Suikoden II in the bargain bin at Gamestop for $15 a piece. Remember?

God I still hate you. Suikoden II still alludes me.

OMFG WHY, WHY!? Fuck, fuck you! damnit! grrrrrrrrrrrrr, seriously after years of searching I found Suikoden one at some girls house I was going out with, she agreed to give it to me, AND THEN A WEEK LATER EVERYTHING I OWNED WAS STOLEN FROM MY APARTMENT. Fate conspired against me.

oh, btw, pardon the large caps usage, just rage.

I just know I've seen this thread somewhere before, but anyway....

Shenmue II for the Dreamcast. Never released on the Dreamcast in the states, but for some odd reason I was digging through a box full of stuff at the EB Games in the Deptford Mall and there was the European version bundled with a disc that allows you to boot it on US Dreamcasts. I bought it for $14.99 and it was even still in it's original shrink wrap.

Pisses me off though that Shenmue II was released for the Xbox in the states. If not for that reason, my find would have been that much more significant.

Donkey Kong 64: $9.99 used at GameStop
Blast Corps: $7.99 used at GameStop

Blast Corps is worth the price of both of them. It's an all-around kick-fucking-ass game.

When i watched that movie I always felt that the director wanted to say somthing else but had it cut out or removed from production. I always felt that there was somthing missing to that movie.

I actually just bought Morrowind used for 10 bucks...I haven't played a LOT, but good lord I can see this game is going to be fun. I love ornate worlds like this.

I also picked up Darkened Skye, and despite the silly premise (pfft, Skittles for magic?) it is actually pretty fun to play. I also found cheap a DVD containing the full pilot episode of Samurai Jack, and it was EXTREMELY cheap.

Well dude, that was because at the time I bought them no one gave a flying fuck about either one. The series didn't become even semi-popular until 3 was released. ^^

- Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals (new, sealed) 15.00 at Target (bought all 3 copies and later eBayed them for $80/ea)

- Final Fantasy Chronicles (pre-Greatest Hits release, new/sealed) for 19.99, at Fry's Electronics somewhere in Texas. They were"mis-stuck" as Final Fantasy VIII, and they had to honor the price, hohoho. (bought all 5 and eBayed them at 44.99 each... then a few weeks later, the greatest hits release was announced, mwahahaha.)

- .hack//INFECTION for 19.99 at Hastings, my town's local "books/games/movies/music" store. Bought 4 copies and eBayed them for 34.99 each.

Of course... Final Fantasy (NES) at Kay-Bee toys for 14.99 brand new... held onto that for about 8 years, and got much less for it than I should've gotten. Ah well.

It sucks now though; in most highly populated areas, or even the lesser populated ones, nearly every game store has at least one employee who's "eBay-knowledgable" ...which means you don't get awesome bargains on stuff like Suikoden 2 (which I'm happy to have bought at retail, 39.99; I absolutely refuse to pay more than retail for ANY game... I buy them when they come out, then laugh at the people who pay 2x retail for them a few years down the line. You snooze, you lose. :) )

I'm a reseller fiend; what can I say? :\

1) NES Advantage, brand new for $0.99.

2) Paper Mario, brand new for $9.99 (EB was selling them used at the time, cart-only, for around $35.00).

Both of these were found at the local Toys 'R Us store.

Wow, I stroke gold on an EB Games Spring Cleaning Sale. I bought $200 worth of stuff for $25. SB Live 5.1 ($15). Mini CDRs (10 for $2) Big old Xbox Joystick ($5). Mouse pads ($0.05). 60 CD Case * 3 ($3 each) and more....

But the best deal I have ever found was at a Dollar Tree in Columbus Ohio. I'll give you a hint, I tried to sell some of the stuff but no one wanted them :( I would've lower the prices, but I'm just going to keep it all :)
