Being as pissed of as I am with politics in this country, I make the official announcement here.
I am running as a candidate on the Emulation Party in 2008 for the office of President of the United States. Why?
Cause this country has been taking a beating from politicians and beauracrats for a buncha years.
Let the common people elect someone. Someone who knows what the struggle is., who knows how hard to make it is.
Not someone who was born into money or knows what makes it easy.
I'm damned tired of this crap. I've worked hard all my life. America is supposed to be the land of opportunity. Guess what? Only if you have the bread.
This country needs a common person to lead it. Not some cornfed senator or some president's son. Someone who feels what the people feel.
That's me.
We're all tired of the goddamned tax loopholes the rich grab.
Tired of seeing our young men and women die in wars started to create a legacy or finish one.
Tire of all government beauracracy that's here.
This is why I will run.
This is not a joke post.
I am dead serious.

I'd like to see you get %0.5 of the money needed to get out and voice yourself to prospective voters. You gonna drive around america in your car and tell people you're running? It takes a lot of money to run for president, and even more to become president. If being the president was so easy, don't you think one of them would get it 'right'?

Okay, here's where you find out a bunch.
If you wanna be a prick and figure out that I can't do this cause you're smarter than I am, okay.
I work for a small printing company.
I've also set upon a plan for flooding the net. As far as the critcism goes, good job. Else, vote for Hillary in 2008. Far as I can see, you're eyes are closed to someone else doing positive, cause you think the Dems or the Reps can solve our problems.
Yeah right.

I'm already for the Libertarian Party, but I'll give you some advice. It requires several thousand signatures to get on state ballots. You've already got your work cut out for you, but try your damnedest to succeed!

It would be nice to have somebody who really worked from the ground up take the highest office in the land. Good work ethic is a dying thing, and people need to understand that work ethic and dedication is the key to success.

I don't mean to criticize, just being realistic. If my eyes are closed, then you're blind. You can't become president with some flyers and spamming the internet. What are you anarchist? Your argumental skills (for such a little internet message board) suck ass. George Dubya is 100,000 times the debater you'll ever be, and half of america thinks he sucks as our president.

Again I'm not trying to argue (for once,) but this is nothing more than a little angst.

George W. Bush doesn't write his debates. No President does, really. They're given a FAQ of sorts of topics they suspect will come up, with tips and coaching.

Not completely, but a damn good share of it. You get in life what you put into it.

I'll post my policies next week. I realize I'll be lucky to make any noise (I refuse to sell out and let any big business back my campaign), but I'm seriously gonna try.

Well. there's always the politics and the bullshit of it... but only hard work can beat that, too.

Well, they let em' know what they'd like to say, and then speeches are written. However, let's not say "no president" does. Ronald Reagan wrote his own speeches and answered to his own debates.

It might as well be. As good as your intentions are, running for president without millions of dollars, a rich family and an ivy league education is pretty much pissing in the wind.

It's a wonderful thing to say you're going to run for president and win because you have big dreams and wholesome values opposed to the corrupt politics involved in war and economics, but in reality, those corrupt politicians will make sure you don't get anywhere near the oval office, much less near anything political. Imagine the lies they'd tell about you.

"(Flash) hangs around software pirates" etc,

Try running for something smaller, and you could actually go somewhere. Try your local city council.

Just don't be like my mother's bumbling ex-husband. Just a bit of backstory, his family name is well-known around town since his father was a prominent lawyer and his mother was a judge, but the fact of the matter is that all of the bastard offspring that his mother and father produced are seriously fucked-up, and he has virtually no good will towards his name around town except among the ne'er-do-wells who just want to be his friend because he has lots of money (but is a cheapass and never spends any of it). At any rate, he decided that he'd run against Matt Hill and Bob Patton for the District 7 seat in the House of Representatives. What he didn't count on was the fact that he'd suddenly decide to up and not run, but he never filed the paperwork to remove his name from the ticket. This had the end effect of him only raising something like 2 grand for his campaign, yet it cost around 4.6 grand to run. He ended up paying around 2.6 grand for a campaign in a race he no longer even wanted to run in.
