I could be wrong, but if the movies used crappy compression to begin with and then were compressed together as a solid RAR, there could easily be drastic file size reduction.

Ya, NES graphics compress really well even with lossless compression. The initial AVIs might have been wholly uncompressed, a little RLE even would trim them down quite a bit. With only 52-ish possible colors it works out nicely.

Really nice...I haven't really played too many hacks though hanging out on these boards has pointed out some ones that might be worth looking into...best of luck on the project guys.
