i just bought it and found out something. company built computers suck the ass. seriously i have to buy a brand new mobo (plus a case cause i want to get rid of any trace of this) and i have to get a videocard because of the INSANE system requirements. seriously these are the specs.

windows 2000/XP (9x/me/nt not supported)
intel P4 @ 1.5 ghz (or AMD equivialant)
256mb ram
100% directX9 sound card
3gb free HD space
mouse and keyboard
CD-ROM drive

supported chipsets
ATI radeon 8500, 9 series
GEforce 3TI,4TI, FX, 6
gfx card must support PIXEL SHADER 1.1

unsupported chipsets
Geforce 4mx (460, 440, 420)
Geforce4 Go/ quadro FX go
Geforce Nforce 2 & 3

wow, i'm glad my computer falls within the range of totally crappy, or i might be able to run this game.

i totally exceed every requirement in that, but my question is why nforce isnt supported. its a pretty popular platform, so thats a big problem right there.

My guess is that they are referring only to the integrated video that comes with some nForce chipsets... which, IIRC is at a GF4MX or worse capability level.

Yes...yes they do. But I don't see the requirements there as too daunting either...perhaps it was time for a video upgrade. A high-end card will usually last you a good period longer than the middling to crappy cards...putting money into a fx5200 or any pci card is a waste if you have any intention of serious gaming.

true, but it just pisses me off that i have to spend extra because my video card sucks (and thus the people who manufacture intergrated video do too) i dont think that it seems unresonable that games are getting more powerful, but said technology isn't getting any cheaper yet. it just pisses me off that a gift was given to me that i cant use.
