From GeForce 3 Ti200 to Radeon 9600XT

In one of my older systems, I currently have a GeForce 3 Ti 200 AGP 64MB AGP Video Card.

One of my relatives is getting a top of the line Radeon and has offered to sell me his ATI (Retail Version) Radeon 9600XT AGP 8X 128MB video card for $50.

I'm not very informed about ATi's video cards and would like to know if I should go for that deal.

Well, I'm not familliar with the XT line, but I do know that it's still probably better than the GeForce...for example, it should fully support hardware accelerated DirectX 9, whearas I don't think that GeForce does.

Even if not, I'd buy it from you to buy it from them. ^_^

i have a 9600xt, i forget the exact model name but it's the one from Sapphire that has passive cooling. i'm very content with performance, you will notice a huge difference from a ti200.
