So, over twenty years ago a few artistic and highly creative German guys got together and decided to make music that was mostly comprised of technological elements, with synthesizers, computer noises, even things like speak and spell.. they try to portray without making judgements a world comprised totally of technology. It's just there for you to hear. What do you think of the prevalence of technology in life now? Is it dangerous, does it need to be controlled? I think its not going away, and there are many things to like about compujters, in fact, I have to say this because I'm a computer geek and my sense of self-worth is partially dependent on it, plus we're communicating right now using computers anyways. However, is this a good thing? Lots of people say computers drive us apart in far too many ways even as they bring us closer together by allowing us to communicate. Sure, we can communicate more easily, but it's in a more distant, less human fashion, and we get caught up in it and distance ourselves from others. Should we maybe be hanging out with people we know in real life more?
Then of course, we have the technology to create a very advanced and nearly inescapable totalitarian government using computers. How will we keep something like this from happening? As technology increases, the prospect of almost every crime being traced to its perpetrator becomes more and more likely. Is this a good, or bad thing? Would it make you feel uncomfortable to know that if you committed a crime, you would definitely get caught?
