Another movie with Johnny Depp as the main character ! :) Anyone saw it ? If so, what are your thoughs about it ?

On the same note (Almost), how do we use spoiler text ? You know, where you have to highlight the text to see it.

I just make a small table to do it generally. And I'm not sure if it'll work all the time.
<table><tr><td bgcolor="#FFFFFF" border=0><font color="#FFFFFF">Does this work?</font></td></tr></table>

Really good movie, even though (around here) it tanked in theaters. Definitely worth at least renting, if not buying.

agreed, it was a good movie.

And here are the spoilers:

<table><td bgcolor=black><font color=black>
Johnny Depp plays the part of a writer who is stalked throughout the entire movie. His wife's house is burnt down, people are killed, and he keeps trying to find out who hired mr. southern killer. And the biggest spoiler of all....... Johnny Depp is insane and he was behind everything.
</font></td></table>

I thought that David Koepp did a great job of adapting Secret Window, Secret Garden, as this is easily one of the best movies that is based on a Stephen King story. I think that Johnny depp was an excellent choice for the role of Mort, although Johnny Depp is always a great choice. John Turturro filled the role of Shooter extremely well too. All in all, quite an outstanding film. Too bad people were to busy watching films that weren't as good, because this bombed around here.

I think they were scared off by the tagline "some windows should never be opened".

This is a spoiler. I mark it here because I don't know how to use those nifty spoiler boxes.

Pretty good, one time watch for me. Now, this will be a spoiler of comparison... Although Depp was brilliant, I found the use of multiple personality fairly cliche'. Not necessarily the dark, Edgar Allen Poe-like ending... but the fact that he had been conjuring the characters himself was really reminiscent of Fight Club (especially in the way it's revealed to him). Damn good movie, though...

Except that the story this movie is based on was written back in the 1970's or perhaps early 80's. It is in the book "Different Seasons" along with Shawshank Redemption, Apt Pupil, and "The Body" (Later made into "Stand By Me") So if anything, Fight Club borrowed from this. Unless of course you are talking how they handled it cinema wise, and not plot wise.
