Aren't you guys still technically under the Queen?

I'm not poking fun, or whatever, I just have no idea how Canada works. All I know is that Canada is like, cold.

Well, she's still the 'big' boss but she hardly do anything. We're mostly under the 'Federal' and 'Provincial' gouvernements rules.

We, like, only see her face on money.

I live on the west coast of Canada, In winter it usually snows once or less and thats it, the summers are hot, and the winter is generally rainy. Average summer temps are about 80-90.

The riding i have to vote in is in Toronto. I am 5 hours outside of Toronto so i cannot vote! Not that it would matter if I voted. There is nobody I want to vote for. I do not really like my NDP candidate. Im not a fool and i will not vote for Steven Harper's Conservative aka Canadian Alliance aka Reform party. That leaves Liberal, and I detest, utterly detest Paul Martin. Ofcourse I could of always voted green or marijuana party!

Some people mention that if you don't vote then you don't have a right to bitch about when the government is fucking us over. I agree. I didn't vote, but I'm not a bitcher...<img src=smilies/cwm11.gif>

And we get another fkkking Liberal government... it might only be minority now, but now there'll be an ndp/liberal coalition and any hope of maintaining a semblance of business-friendliness is gone.

Goodbye competitive Canadian economy!

I think it is great. For this term, we do not have a 4 to 5 year dictatorship. We have an actual democracy! The oppositions opinions DO matter.

I checked the count. In the riding i would of voted in (if i could), one of the two candidates that i would have preferred to win won. The problem is I disliked all the candidates.

And I say to that because circumstances worked against me to NOT TO ALLOW me to vote, I will bitch all I want! Just because I did not have the opportunity I will not silence my voice by such stupid logic. It is very stupid logic considering if your apathetic and do not like any of the choices given.

This is not a stupid logic. If you want things to change, go vote ! Pff, there's always a vote by anticipation for those who can't vote.

Vote by anticipation dude, there's always a way to vote. Sitting on a chair and waiting for things to change eh ? Get up and try to change things by voting. I don't care for what you said, there's VOTE BY ANTICIPATION ESPECIALLY FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN'T VOTE MONDAY. It was up to you check that. I don't see how it is a stupid logic. There's too way : Stay on your ass and wait for things to chang OR get off your lazy ass and try to change things.

Um guy, you can vote by anticipation IF you anticipate not being able to vote. I did not anticipate being able to vote. It was not laziness. I had a scheduled appointment out of town. In this case, get get the next stage of my liscense. After the road test, I was to go back to Toronto. That did not pan out. I was not ready for the road test. Instead, i schelduled another road test later and needed to stay in town for more practice because I CANNOT practice in Toronto.

Simply put, I got stuck out of my riding unexpectantly. You dont get all pissy with me. With that, I actually followed what the asses had to say and came to the following decision:

Liberals: Campaign to the Centre left, rule to the centre right.
Conservatives: Campaigning to the left, but would rule to the far right.
NDP: Campaigning to the left, would rule to the left but is not ready to rule.
Green: no chance in hell of achieving a seat
Communist/Maxist: Same thing
Marijuana Party: Imagine that...a one issue party.

My riding: Lots of Liberal and NDP support. I was okay with either candidate. Conservatives had no chance in hell. So, in the end it did not matter because i did not like any of the parties, but I disliked the Liberals and NDP parties the least.

Hence, I was not to sad not to vote because, hell, one of the two parties that i might have voted for would have got in. And, guess what they did.

So..go soak yourself in water and cool down.

I'm not pissed at all. It is you who sound rather pissed...

As I don't like Martin neither, our guy here who represent him is rather cool.
