Well, I especially needed a break from work.... and it only took strep throat and a running fever to get it, lol. Hope you like the graphic work. The text was actually 3D modeled/rendered and then painted in a postwork utility. Well, NOW it's time to sleep :D-- hope you like it.

hmm...may i ask what resolution you do your work in? there's always an n64-like haze around everything

also, i recommend using illustrator or photoshop to make logos, and not a 3D renderer. if you DID use photoshop, try upping your work res to nothing lower than 300 dpi

It's good but I don't think it should replace the current ZD logo. ZD is the premier web site for emulation, and with emulation, people preserve the history of the video game history. Changing the ZD logo is like changing a part of gaming history. Your new logo can definately be used for something like a customizable theme for the site or the boards (like http://www.horrordvds.com), but I don't think the old logo should be removed entirely.

The ZD logo has been changed before. Just look at RedXIII's sig pic, the old ZD logo. And there was one before that as well. If ZD ever gets another makeover, then we could use a new logo as well.

If memory serves me, we had 4 logos. Our current logo is probably going to stick around for the remainder of the site's life. Perhaps not the actual image itself, but the basic look.

It looks pretty good, especially with the swirl in the background, however, I think you overdid it a bit with the blur...it makes it somewhat hard on the eyes, and the font could be changed to something more asthetically pleasing.

THANK YOU. I thought that the blur swirl thing was going to blind me, it really detracts from the main ZD logo. Besides, if the background of the design will be anything other than black, then the logo isn't going to work anyway.
