M and K couldn't make it tonight because K's mother needed transportation for some blood work. However, N and C are still scheduled to make an overnight appearance.
I have N's goodbye gift all ready. Since she wants a cowboy and she always says "oh..my..gosh I need a cowboy," I got her a body pillow and put a white tshirt, button down shirt, and cowboy hat on it. I'll tell her it'll serve as her makeshift cowboy while she's home over the summer. Also got her a little card.
She really likes jello...and we discussed sparkling jello...so I also bought the stuff and am going to make jello. Mmmmmmmm.
The bedding situation....to save cash (cause I'm a poor piece of crap) I got a twin size air mattress for me and they will sleep in my bed. Yes, I washed the sheets. No, I'm not going to lay in it for the next week and sniff it while jerking off.
It makes sense though. The air mattress can accomodate my weekly guest...includes fluffy pillow, soft padding, sheets, and MOST excellent comfy blanket like I have. I think it's called vellux.
You know...tonight is the last night I'm going to see N for quite some time. I can't help but feel like I'm losing a truly good friend. I would have absolutely no reservation in driving the 8 hours roundtrip each weekend and paying the $20 roundtrip for turnpike fees and $50 roundtrip for gas fees. Even 5 freaking minutes with her is worth it.
But anyway...I'm not a nice person. I don't do nice things for people. Emotions and feelings are irrelevant to me unless they're MY emotions or feelings. Not so for N. I just want to do everything I can to make her smile or to do something thoughtful. I hope she likes her makeshift cowboy and jello.
I can't wait to give her that autographed book sometime this summer
