That's what the bowling lanes were tonight! It was a bit bittersweet though.
After practicing for a while, I started up some games. I hadn't bowled since Thursday, and I had been sick since Saturday and still was a little sick. So I hadn't exercised very much at all the last few days. That certainly didn't come out in the bowling.
230 the first game. The 2nd game I stupidly started off with a gutterball. I kind of loosely dropped the ball to the outer right edge and it just didn't come back. The next ball, I picked up the 10 pin spare PERFECTLY (so somewhat of a strike). After that? 11 perfect strikes. The game was 290, my new high game. More importantly, if I had bowled league, 11 strikes in a row would get me a nice little award plaque. And of course MUCH more importantly, if I hadn't thrown that gutterball and threw that strike ball to begin with, I would have had a perfect 300 game. ARGH! No sweat though...with the way I've been bowling lately, 300 will be coming sometime soon.
Oh yea, I bowled 245 the 3rd game. So 230-290-245 = 765 series, by far the highest series I've ever bowled. I have no idea where the hell it came from either...I was sweating like crazy cuz it was hot and I hadn't moved around much in the last 4 days, I still had a bad headache and flemmy throat pissing me off, and I had yet another not-so-great day at work today, but I felt perfectly calm bowling how I bowled. All I need to do is bowl like that when it counts. I'll be a pro bowler soon enough.
