Manipulating PS3 Saved Game Data

I copied some saved game files from my ps3 to a usb flash drive. Want to make some changes to my saved games via pc and saved them back to my ps3. I have been looking around for a while but can't find the information to do this.

The ps3 games I want to make changes to are FF7 and WildArms3 purchased through the Playstation Network. Does anyone out there know how to get this done? Thanks.

I wouldn't be surprised if the saves were encrypted somehow to prevent users from easily creating exploits for games resulting in a backdoor that would allow a way to "jailbreak" the PS3 so to speak. I could be wrong though.
