Woke up yesterday morning, and strangely-- I was wheezing like mad... couldn't breathe. Now this is odd, because I haven't had asthma symtoms in five years. I was diagnosed as a kid, and then all of a sudden, this week my upper chest has been tight and I'm showing strong symtoms again. Shit, I had to take a full treatment (and Aluteral Sufate fucks me up... feels good at first, opens me up, and then gives me a headache like a bad hangover). Either way, I have to carry around a damn inhaler again.... how in the hell is this possible? I thought I outgrew this when I didn't wheeze for 5 years :P. It was pretty bad when I was a kid, though... I just played football and stuff through it and eventually, the symtoms stopped.

do yyou still excersise as much as 5 years ago? i find that if i start excersising more it starts to dissapear, though i just dont care about it anymore, because i'm out of shape. though once i loose 20lbs or so, i'm gonna start working out like mad.

(note: i am going on a diet)

My son is around your age (he's 19) and he was diagnosed with it as a child. He hadn't had an attack since he was seven, but had one last year. Nothing since then, just a freak deal.
I'd suggest if you continue to get them see a doctor.

Well I lift every other day, and I'm in pretty good shape.

That sucks. As a fellow asthma sufferer, I sympathize. I find that lately smoke gets to me (try living by candle light and you'll find things like that out :P)

Technically, asthma never really goes away. "Out-growing" it is a common misconception. Exercise and diet can alleviate it some (drinking coffee is known to have a beneficial effect both from the temperature and from substances in the coffee) But mostly its a learn to live with it sort of problem.
