Well, the checkup was fine, but there was a new thing added to the procedure: They took my blood pressure at the beginning. I never heard of them doing this, but I just went along with it.
Interestingly, my numbers were the following:
120/66
59 heart rate
I guess it was good news to hear. I don't know if they're doing this everywhere, but I'm curious.

That is quite strange. I have no idea why they would check that. While we're on the subject, should I question my regular prostate check-up everytime I go to the psychologist? I can't put two and two together on that one, either.

they also check blood pressure at the optometrist. no idea why.

Maybe it's due to the epidemic of people being killed by their own fat.

Well, I actually found out that studies show there are some ties between high blood pressure and gum disease. I'm certain that this is one of the reasons. Now I feel like it was less pointless for them to do.
