Anyone ever watch this show on Nickelodeon when it came out? I know it was a preachy, sappy, tree-hugging kids show about love and whatnot, but I now realize that I grew up on that shit, and even though I'm 20 now, I'll NEVER EVER EVER forget the fucking theme song. EVER. That's how much I loved that show as a kid.

Who else grew up on shows like this? I surfed around a bit, and found a few pages, a couple of which mention David the Gnome, which I now realize that I remember. I wish I could get these cartoons in DIVX format, just for nostalgia's sake.

(And yeah, this belongs in diaries, this is something personal, and I don't want it on TOTT.)

See, I watched The Little Bits, David the Gnome, and Maya the Bee. I even watched some of the old Pinwheel stuff. Pinwheel, by the way, is the predecessor to Nickelodeon and Nick Jr.

Pinwheel was like a knockoff of PBS. It had some show with puppets, one of them was a security guard I think. They had Bill Cosby doing drawings of stuff. I saw an actual videotape of Pinwheel stuff for sale on eBay once, but I don't think it was just a VCR recording as it had labels and all.

mad fuzzy chocolate.

yeah David the Gnome rocked. I remember not wanting to ever watch Eureka's Castle because something about it annoyed me tremendously but I never bothered to actually stop watching it. I know it wasn't a Nick show but Mr. Rogers was the shit too. The crap they try to ply on kids these days can't hold a candle to what we had in quality.

i watched eurika's castle, and it annoyed me to no end as well, especially that fucking dragon thing. seriously, i'm 16 and i remember all that kiddy show stuff. the sad part being that i think if i watched any of it now for more than 10min. i'd probably want to shoot myself.

but yeah, i do remember big bag as well, which i'd watch on saterdays waiting for sci-fi channel's anime movies to come on. i really liked iria. she shot this huge gun, and this kid died from a fist through the heart... though my memory is rather hasy on that movie.

Hell yes, I remember The Littl Bits, and I also remember that theme song with no trouble, except the words. I really liked this show back in the day, but I haven't seen it in years, or any other of my old favorite Nick shows for that matter. It's not really an option now, because I don't have cable...which is usually a good thing.

Oh, sweet childhood memories.<img src=smilies/cry.gif>

batley annoyed the hell out of me. i just wanted him to bust his head wide open on the side of the castle. and pappyland? isn't that the show with that old red neck guy who drew clowns and shit? i'm not sure if it is or not, it just sounds familiar.
