Alright, I've had this eM250 netbook for a couple of months now. Got the display model from Wal-Mart for $180 (priced $228), worked my magic and upgraded to 2gb of RAM and Windows 7 Home Premium.

So there's a pair of removable panels on the bottom of this book, one allows access to the RAM slot, the other to a slot that I can't identify:

I just don't really mess with laptop hardware, but I'm assuming this is probably a slot for a GPU (which would be kinda awesome to upgrade, since this little book will already run a number of PSX roms fairly well...)

who knows? I don't exactly recognize it. Do you try just contacting eMachines support and just asking?

It's looks like that's a mini-PCI slot, probably for a wireless card.

Looks like a place to remove the expresscard slot? There is tape in the way. I would download the manual but I am almost too lazy to write this. ^_^

Correct. I work in a repair center focusing on notebook, netbook, and ultra mobile computers so I see this every day. If the notebook already has wireless capabilities (what modern one doesn't?) this slot is usually intended for an optional broadband modem.

Yeah, usually it's externally accessible so the user can insert/replace the SIM card.
