Over the weekend I moved most of my stuff into my new place.
Old place = small and $712/mo.
New place = large (2 bedrooms, too) and $485/mo.

At the very least, I have a "computer room" now....until some hot chick wants to move in and use the room as a bedroom...and then during the scary thunderstorms she can crawl into bed with me...and then we ca

Apartment or a house? Either way, sounds like you found yourself a damn good deal. And about the thing not feeling at home? Give it time. That, and decorate it the way you want. It's your place, if someone doesn't like it, fuck'em.

Not bad at all Sam.
We have a 2br 2.5 bath apartment, it is 1398 sqft, and we pay 699 a month.
Not bad for Austin. How big is your new place?

Fairly large master bedroom, not a large 2nd bedroom. Living room is about the same size, little dining room, big kitchen, huge bathroom, area for the washer/dryer, and long hallway to get into my place.
