So I was laid off a few months ago from a really great, fun job where I was working with like 5 of my really good friends from other jobs, or just friends I've known a long time.

Well, I finaly got another job a couple of weeks ago, and it was just going to be me, and an underling/partner sort of situation. I met the guy, and he was a geek like me, but slightly more annoying, and told way too many stories. Tolerable though, he was. So I got laid off on Friday again, the contract ended early, (temp agency) which kinda sucks, but the Supervisor there, whos name is Rod, pulled me aside and told me he wanted me for this position Life Testing Dell Notebooks. (oh, word to the wise, the new Dell printers... stay away... crap, thats what I was testing before) He was apparently impressed by my work with the printer QA, and asked for me specifically for this position Life Testing Notebook computers.

So I get a call from the Temp Agency this morning, and the lady (who is a real sweetheart) told me that position wasn't going to materialize for at least 2 months, but she has another position for me, with slightly higher pay, and decent hours, in another town, which isnt really a bad thing. Suburb towns in Austin are like.. "RIGHT THERE" type distance.

Anyway, so now I gotta meet a whole sleu of new people, and impress.. no, TRY to impress yet ANOTHER Boss, just to make sure I keep this job. I hate meeting new people. Im sort of an introvert in real life, but once I get to know someone, I open up. But thats the problem, I don't WANT to get to know people. The position I was hoping for was working with a few of the friends I mentioned before, making good money, great hours, and working at Dell. In Austin, 'working at Dell' is a pretty damn good job, btw.

So now I have to determine if I even like this job, which I *HATED* the printer test job, it was exceedingly monotonous. All I did was print about 40,000 sheets of paper (from a total of 8 printers) and check for print quality.. BOR-RING. I probably won't like this job either, it will be testing motherboard and other PCB components in heat and cold labs.

Not very excited.

Hot = 40 C which translates to 105 Farenheit, with 85% humidity. Satans asshole basically.
Cold = IS Room temp. 10C, which is about 50-60 Farenheit. Thats actually nice.

Turns out I didnt get that job after all though. So I'm still lookin.
