I need help and opinions...what is the best emulator to enable me to use my Atari floppys in my PC? I have two 1020st's but need to use the software on my laptop. I am using "Notator" & "band in the box" to compose midi music files and would hate to lose the 12 years worth of files, and composition. My Atari's are one foot in the grave and fading fast. Any information would be appreciated, thanks

uhm, I know nothing of that machine.
first off, you will have to make images of those floppies, and given the age of the hardware, I'm betting it's the "floppy" floppies, no? In all honesty, if that's the case, then I'm not sure how you are going to rip the data off using modern hardware.

a little clarification...the computers are (1)Atari 1040st and (1)520st (upgraded to 1040 spec), they use standard 3" (hard shell) floppys and the files are written in the Atari OS language, not midi files. I use midi cables to relay data to the Roland sound module. I also use a C-Lab synchronizer to pull it all together.
