Heh, a place where I worked as a volunteer for several summers has giant roaches and big hissing roaches.

Regardless of Mr. Mecoli living in a house with 1000s of roaches, freaking out from seeing one roach is something I have to laugh at as well, because my sister does the same thing, as does my mom, and plenty of other females I know.

Tell me that when one crawls inside your ear and lays its eggs in your ear canal, and you hatch cockroaches out of your ear like a slot machine.

(Not to say that's happened to me, but maybe there's a reason for fear sometimes....not just a phobia)

I've dealt with severe infestations of roaches, boll weevils, spiders, etc...the only bug I might steer clear of is anything that stings (bees, wasps, scorpions) because they might actually hurt me.
