You think $99 is to much? Hell that's a deal. If I had the money I'd snap it up. Heck you might have getten that just hocking the games alone at Gamestop.

Well you gotta take into consideration that only 5 of the 60 games are in jewel cases and out of that only 2 have the complete case, manual and inlays. One of the analog controllers are missing the grip on the left thumbstick and both consoles have some minor nicks and scratches. Haven't touched these systems in a year or more. Too bad I didn't keep hold of all the games I used to have. I had Final Fantasy Origins, Anthology, Chronicles, VII, VIII & IX all in near mint condition and took them to stupid Gamestop and got jipped basically. I could kick myself in the ass for trading in as much as I did over the years. Like Shenmue II for the Dreamcast that was only sold in Europe and Japan. Yeah I traded it in for some measly store credit. I had a huge Dreamcast collection of over 40 games all with cases and manuals and I gave it all to Gamestop or Funcoland as it used to be called. God I hate myself right now.
Anyway speaking of Dreamcasts, that's tomorrows listing. A Dreamcast console produced before they fixed the problem that allowed backups to boot. 4 VMU's, a controller, power cord and AV cable. No games, but will have the very rare Bleemcast for Gran Turismo 2 disc included.
Update, just revised the auction. Took out Gran Turismo 2. Gonna include that with the Dreamcast since I'll have the Bleem disc in there.

I checked the cheapest for each, and FF VII and Xenogears alone would get you at least $100.
And I may be interested in a dreamcast.

Highest I see right now for Xenogears on Ebay with active bids is $46 and that's complete with jewel case, maunals, inserts and a strategy guide. Mine is in a plain clear jewel case and worst off I bought it from Hollywood Video so it has these stupid labels over the whole disc that destroy the disc if you try to remove it. I don't expect nor would I expect top dollar for it. Final Fantasy VII is in original case. Greatest Hits edition which means nothing to me but something to collectors. No manual. I don't suppose I would get top price for that either.

I guess you're right... It's still a nice collection for a casual gamer though...

Absolutely. I keep looking at the starting price thinking it's to high but I've almost completed an estimate of how much all these games would sell for elsewhere online and even in disc sleeves I could get much more for just the games alone. I'm considering revising my starting price.

Still no Dreamcast auction yet. I'll get to it soon I promise. Up today is a LOT of 71 PC games. Starting price is $170 as all are in Very Good to Excellent condition. Hoping a reseller picks it up. I researched average prices on Amazon of all the games and I'm letting them all go for half of what most other retailers are asking.

Keep an eye out here. PSP, a Commodore 64 complete with floppy drive and cassette drive and the Dreamcast will be coming soon.

Alright folks here it is. 1 Dreamcast console manufactured January 2000 before Sega fixed them to stop backups from being booted. Even got a pic of the underside in my auction for proof. You'll also get the rare Bleem for Dreamcast Gran Turismo and a copy of GT2's Simulation Mode disc. It's killing me to sell this but I need cash so bid early and often. =)

Price Drops! PSX now starting at $130. PC Games at $135.
Is the Dreamcast backwards compatible with Saturn? I always kinda wanted a Dreamcast, but there were only ever like 2 games I wanted for it (same with Saturn). Seemed like kind of a waste. Also, it can play regular burned DVDs on the Dreamcast (or does it use CDs)?

It isn't backwards compatible, and depending on the model you might be able to get it to play burned CDs (if so, that's great because for one thing it opens up a world of homebrew to you...the Dreamcast has quite a homebrew following). The games actually use a tweaked disc format called GD-ROM. It holds more than a regular CD.

He said it could play backups because his is the version before they fixed it so that seems to mean cough/roms/cough burned to disc. I'd check with him because this would mean you wouldn't have to buy games and could actually experiment with untried games for free. :)
That's if I read it right.
Dreamcast homebrew might be interesting. I knew it was too much to hope for backwards compatibility, because that would just be too awesome and save me the trouble of buying two consoles. Dragon Force was on Saturn, right?
Honestly, I have mixed feelings about piracy on the Dreamcast, given that Sega can't make any money off of any games for it.

I have no idea if it's backward compatible. I just noticed what he said about playing backups. I'm sure others here would know though.

My Dreamcast was manufactured in January of 2000. What this means is that discs other than Sega's proprietary GD-Rom discs will boot on it. You can play back ups and use emulators and homebrew on it. Models manufactured after October 2000 were fixed so this could not happen anymore.
There is no backward compatibility between the Saturn and the Dreamcast.

Record of Lodoss War, Armada, Powerstone 1+2, Soul Caliber and Skies of Arcadia: on their own merit, make owning a Dreamcast worth it.

Soul Calibur is the reason I want a Dreamcast... I already have it.

Then go bid dude! I'll even drop the starting price by $10. No ones even watching the auction.

Well apparently more people don't think like Shawn does. I bumped the price of the PSX bundle from $99 to $170 after he said he thought it was too cheap. Then dropped it down to $130 after a few days. 1h and 47m left and no bids. Only 4 watchers. Probably not gonna sell. Should I just quit Ebaying now? =P

Nah, just try again with a lower price then (if you don't mind the lower price). I'm sure someone will bite eventually.

It's not the price it's the economy. If you could wait 2 or 3 months you could get the good price but most people are pussies when it comes to spending. I just bought a used 32" tv for a $100 right after buying a 25" and now I'm selling the 25" for mint condition and no one wants to buy it which blows me away since it's almost new and cheap as hell to. Go figure. I'll just wait till the right person comes along and I'll sell it the moment they see it running and I might make more.

I got my dreamcast for a pack of smokes and some bud lol
FOR THE WIN! hahah
Man, I dunno if I should by a Dreamcast now my PS2's broke. I still kinda want one, but I don't have over a hundred Dreamcast games in my library. I'm giving serious consideration to your Dreamcast, red. It's just that I'm probably going to replace my PS2 with a PS3, and backwards compatible PS3s aren't cheap.
Also, the bigger a game bundle is, the more likely people are to already have certain games. A lot of times I'll see an awesome bundle of like 50 games for a hundred bucks, but then like I'll only be getting it for maybe ten games, and I already have like five of them. And that's probably more true the further back you go in time. Maybe you should try breaking the games up into genres or something.

Would ya believe the Playstation's sold? Still waiting for payment but thats pretty cool. Looks like a reseller picked it up. They got 315 listings on Ebay, all video games. Whatever it's $130 in my pocket. W00t!

I'm going to sneak attack the dreamcast, don't worry about it.

Nice. I bet I couldn't get anyone to buy my entire PSX collection (let alone my PS2 collection). It's all pretty good games, but I looked them up one time, and it ended up being worth over 6 grand even at the low prices on amazon/ebay.

Don't scowl too much. I've ended the item. This is another thing I can't let go of just yet and since I only ship inside the USA, I realize Max would not have been able to bid anyway as he resides in Canada. Look for it in a few more months when I'm finally over it. I'm spying a cheap VGA box for the DC on Ebay so that'll be a nice bonus when I finally sell it.
Fair enough, it's better for me, since I have to replace my PS2 now, and that might mean buying a PS3 (well, it might mean both).
