Let's see, I just spent the day having odd nightmares and thrashing around on my bed while feeling unbelievably cold, and my way of thinking was pretty odd and detached from reality, as I have a pretty bad fever right now. ("Huh?!" is the only way I can really describe it. I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about.) However, now I haven't had a cigarette in 12 hours, and I'm starting to get really antsy. However, it's 70 degrees inside, and I feel colder than hell. So, since it's below freezing outside, I assume it would be not very pleasant to exit the house? On the other hand, I'd get a serious ass-kicking if I lit up a cigarette indoors, so that's out of the question. Hmm...What to do? I could maybe chew the tobacco, then spit it in the toilet, but come on, that's fucking nasty. Perhaps I could invent a device that sucks all smoke in a room into it, and does so efficiently, without leaving a smell. Hrm. Nope, that's implausible, and it would be hard to invent all by myself anyways, and probably not worth it for one cigarette.
Fuck.

I don't really see how that's any worse than inhaling it, but what do I know. =P
Maybe you could make yourself a nice hot cup of tabaccy tea. <img src=smilies/puke.gif>

The problem with eating tobacco (or drinking tobacco tea) is that nicotine is extremely poisonous when taken orally. This is exemplified by my friend, who once made nicotine extract from tobacco, took two drops, passed out for eight hours, and woke up like "What the...fuck?" Most of the nicotine is destroyed by fire when you smoke though, but still, said friend told me that smoking one drop of nicotine added to a cigarette (he calls it a "Satan cigarette") was enough to make his lungs violently contract when he took a drag.

My grandma was a horrendous smoker, but she was also considerate and had a device very similiar to the one you just described. Tho it would leave a bit of a smell, the smoke quickly dissipated and the air was actually breathable for everybody not sucking on a stoge. It's basically an air purifier that does it.

What some friends and me did when we were smoking illegal products is that we took one of those cardboard things from a paper towel roll and then took a dryer sheet and taped it to the end. and blew the smoke in it and it kind of acted like a filter. Or you could wrap up real nice and go out side and suck the hell out of it. After 12 hours of not smoking you may want to craw back in because you will be light headed like a motherfucker! I like that feeling thats why the 1st cig of the day is always the best!
