View Full Version : Webcomics are good, but the fact that I cannot find a host is not...

It's been a dream of mine for a couple of years now to do a comic. And with the popularity of webcomics nowadays, I figured that my time is now.

Well, after my first attempt, my friend sort of told me he was too lazy to keep scanning my stuff. But I've found the greatness of MSpaint, and now I can make them on my computer, and don't need a scanner.

My site, www.freewebs.com/working-thecomic/ has informed me that I will only be able to put up 7 pages. In a webcomic series, that's nowhere near enough. So now I'm stuck in a delemma, I have nobody to host my comic, and nowhere else to go. Does anybody know of anything I can do to keep my comic alive (without paying money)? Please feel free to reply.

That made me laugh. It really did. Both the fact that you called MS Paint "great" and that you think that it's possible to make anything more than an only half-decent comic with it. Seriously, scanners are like $50 nowadays. Just save up and buy one.

At any rate, http://www.keenspace.com/ is the place to go for free webcomic hosting.

it is great, if you have the patience to edit each pixel color by color until you konw what you're getting at. sure, it ain't no photoshop, but you can get some nice results if you know what you're doing.

MS Paint is great, though mostly for doodling around unless you have the patience to do something that would take a tiny fraction of the time on anything else. So Paint is good, but compared to any other software though (such as Photoshop), Paint is ass.

Some people don't have the money to get the better programs or equipment so they are stuck using the old stuff. It doesn't matter to me as long as the stuff comes out great in the end.
