View Full Version : Slowing Down

I've been off cigars officially for almost a week now, but I never realized how addicted I am to the damned things. I've cut wayyy back on my alcohol consumption (actually saving enough to buy Heineken instead) and realized that I'm just hitting that point.
That one point that everyone hits sooner or later. I'm slowing down.
I'm even getting paranoid about the damned food I eat.
I know I'm being unreasonable, but I don't want to slow down. I don't know if it's the common sense part or something else, but I kinda like me the way I am.
No need for additional paranoias or challenges. They can confuse things or worse, obstruct things.
The hell with it.
I'm going to go get a pack of cigars.
Sorry. <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>

This reeks of hypocrisy, but you know damn well you shouldn't do this. I mean, seriously. Just don't.

Withdrawal is a bitch, but don't let that fool you into thinking that that stuff is going to keep you more active in the long run.

Get paranoid about what you inhale.

Cigars will slow you down. Ya know, not being able to breathe really adds minutes to your mile.
I'd say more, but why lecture someone twice my age. *shrug*
But just as a side note, taking care of yourself doesn't slow you down, if anything, it speeds you up.
