Alone

I know it ain't gonna make a rat's ass bit of difference to most of you, but I never realized, until today, how I'd isolated myself.

1. Drove three of my best friends off that will, more or less, I'm sure, never talk to me again.
2.All my family, cept my son, is in Connecticut. Every time I call no one is at home.
3. My son only contacts me when he wants to.
Another side effect.
I'm not whining. I did this on my own, life nor other people, did this to me.
I'm just upset and saying something about it.
I'm young, I'll get over it.

I've got a few close family members myself and I only hang with 3 or 4 people besides work. I guess I do this because I find a lot of friends from the past were not true friends and had their own agenda for the friendships. You'll make more friends soon and look at the bright side, you still have us. <img src=smilies/magbiggrin.gif>

i don't talk to my family anymore except for those i live with. kind of bittersweet.

Maybe so, but the other side of that coin is that you have the power to make choices that make your life better, too. What's done is done... but the future is a blank page. So don't waste time beating yourself up over mistakes you've made. Learn from them and move forward, and keep your eyes on the road ahead. It's easy to miss the next crossroad if you're not looking forward.
