I realy hate it sometimes
It just cuts off every once and a while
I was offline for 30min.!!!
ooohhh that pisses me off
At least it went back on, or else I would've gone NUTS!!!
damn ATT...
anyone else have a cable connection??

I was stuck with AOHell for the longest time. When we finally got cable, I was geeked. Then the company decided to rape us for bills the size of Barney's head, and we said "SCREW YOU!". We've had it for almost 3 years now. It's been on and off, but hey, we still have it. And if a certain someone wasn't ADDICTED to the damned thing, they wouldn't be wigging out about 30 mins of no service. :P

You can have cable modem with mad h4x0r downloads, ok uploads, and generally so-so stability.
...Or...
You can have ADSL, with so-so download rates, better uploads, and much greater stability (in my experience).
...Or...
You can get a OC3.

DSL is often capped at 16k/s upload though...

but that's just my opinion, I could be wrong

Mine can do 34 kB/s. I think I have a particularly good service.

It don't matter if it's DSL or Cable...the ISP determines the UL cap...mine is a putrid 15KB/s...although I bursted 300KB/s once to Cipher on ICQ. =P

consider yourself lucky, at least you have it! i ain't even got a decent dial-up, so stop yer bellyachin'. there is only one broadband possibility where i live, cable, and only one way to get it, thru the blocks monopoly with buckeye cable. and the blocks (who have a complete media monopoly of toledo's media) take full advantage of that monopoly and charge a ridiculous 54 bucks for it! guess what, you have no room to belly ache!

I almost feel bad mentioning that 'round the end of August I'm moving into a dorm with a shared 18mbit connection...
