School, work, papers, projects, school, work, paper, projects, snow, anxiety, headaches, projects, school, work, paper, school, work, training, money, car, school, work... That's what it sounds like in my head now.
The anxiety is getting to me, and I think I'm going to go insane very shortly. Two papers due for school soon. A project and current events due soon as well. I have to have a menu memorized for where I'm working now, and I haven't had time to barely look at it. I ran into a deer with my car the other night, and I don't have the money to pay off the deductible right now. I'm also behind in my car payments, and Christmas is coming up. I have no way of getting the money I need when I'll need it. They're scheduling me to work too much because I've had almost no time to work on my papers, etc. GRIEF STRICKEN GRIEF. I need out. Now.

I'm no doctor, but it sounds to me like you need an urgent dose of alcohol: the cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems. [/homer]
Seriously, though, that sounds like a really bad situation you're in just now. On the work front, I can certainly sympathise. Obviously there's no miracle nugget of wisdom I can offer you, but try not to look at the whole picture at once - you'll get easily demotivated that way. Figure out what needs done in the next couple of days and do it. After that, do the same again. Repeat ad infinitum. It's the only real way to take on such a large amount of work without going insane. Before you know it you'll be almost there.
On the money front, other than resorting to petty theft, I can only suggest that you try to cut back as far as is absolutely practicable for the time being. I remember back in first year Uni I lived on a loaf of bread for the best part of a week at one stage. Ahh, happy days.
Best of luck with it though. Keep us updated.

That's what I'm going to try to do. Thanks for the advice. Right now it's: work on paper/get ready to finish my work training.

Anxiety and grief strike us all.
My life lately hasn't exactly been a bed of roses. As slick Willie would say, "I feel your pain".
You'll make this man.
You're strong enough.

I know this is a Bad Thing, and that it did some severe damage to your car, and I'm really not trying to be an asshole, but god that's funny. It's almost like it's right out of some lame redneck movie.

Well, I'm no redneck. I'm a city-raised teen raised in the boonies. But, yeah, it was a funny conversation starter the next Monday at school.

You're not alone, I owe the IRS $1600, phone company $600, and other bills totaling around $4000. I was supposed to get an apartment and that fell through so I had to move into a backroom in my relatives house.
Here's what I did today, got up at 4:30 AM, worked from 6:00 AM - 10:00 AM, had to move and sort and repack a literal ton of stuff from that room to their attic using a folding ladder to get to the attic, I finished this about 5:30 PM without any rest the whole day, I then went to my cousins house and packed up my computer, clothes, 25"TV, CD's, and a bunch of other stuff and brought it over to the house and up to the second floor and won't be able to get my bed, dresser, or TV stand till tuesday because there's a huge winter storm that's going to hit my area of New Hampshire in the morning. I've already hooked up the VCR & TV to the cable, the computer is hooked up, and I got half my stuff put away and all it took was 14 grueling hours working straight out to do this.
I've been working like mad for 2 weeks making up for the 5 months I was unemployed making $115/wk from the state without a real day off and I have lost almost 20 lbs in those 2 weeks even though I know I put on muscle mass at the same time which is a good thing since I gained almost 40 lbs during my nonworking stint bringing my weight up to around 240 lbs.
I think we all need a break but I think I may have to get another job working around 15 hrs a week to get me fully out of poverty and independent again but where I'm going to find the time for it I haven't a clue.
Remember you're not alone, I know married guys with kids who have to work 70+ hrs a week just to pay the bills and put food on the table so I figure we might not have it as bad as we could have it, just keep going and it'll ease up sooner than you think.

Sorry to hear all that, shawn. And yeah, I know I'm not alone. And yeah, I know I don't have it all that bad off. It doesn't help my anxiety, though. Honestly, I think I have an abnormal amount of anxiety under stress, and I am going to a psychiatrist in the beginning of the next year. So hopefully I won't be so tense next time. Things are easing up on me, though.

I don't really think you need a psychiatrist if you posts are any indication of your mental state for the most part. I think you need to stop thinking and just do what you have to do. I find that not worrying about things is the best thing to do when things get tough.
Just find one thing to do that needs to be done and try to finish it or do as much as possible then just go to the next task. If you need a break then by all mean take one and sometimes a nap during the day helps if theres time even to take a short one. You also have to break it all up once in a while so if you're not planning on going anywheres then just a beer or 2 while working on something around the house can be quite relaxing once in a while.
Remember that if you're tight on time that the internet should be limited to maybe an hour a day tops and other things that really don't help you get the things done that need to be finished.
So remember that your priorities come first and just do one at a time and if you don't dwell on the other stuff each job will be finished much sooner than you expected them to be.

Hey hey hey,
That happens fairly often in certain areas in Canada! There are signs on the road warning to watch out for deer. People have been killed.

No kidding. I live in Montana, and that happens all the time. My mom hit a deer about 2 weeks ago. It was dark, and although she was going slow, the poor thing just jumped out into the road. Took out her left headlight. What's worse is, it was just a fawn, and the hit killed it.

Meh. Deer. They're speed bumps. The ones you really need to watch out for in Canada are the moose. Now those fuckers will wreck a car, or hell, even a truck/SUV. And they're much, much stupider than deer. Deer have that cute "in-the-headlights" look. Moose just look at you uncomprehendingly as you hurtle towards them, then realize "Oh, it's something big and coming towards me. It's ten feet away now, I'll go run away."
Useless creatures.
Not that I don't empathize with the poster's crash; they all suck. But be grateful you didn't hit a moose, or even an elk.
