a small update on the life and times of flana. on friday, i left school and ran off to emerson to meet erin. after watching the lewis black dvd and eating, we played PS2 for about eight or nine hours. i'm also now addicted to DDR. :) now, i have a small dilemma on my hands meanwhile. i think i'm falling for erin a little more everytime i see her, she's pretty awesome and hella attractive. however, my best friend has some history with her, they broke up about a year ago. so, what i think i'm going to do about the situation is simply not tell anyone (assuming they both do not go to ZMD, heh) how i feel. in the long run i think this is the best thing i can do. if something were to ever go wrong, i really would not want tension from either person... i care about both of them too much to ever risk losing one. who's with me?

My suggestion is that you tell her. Everything. That you're falling for her, and that you don't want to lose the friendship (or that of your best friend), so you'd rather nothing come of it all. Generally this builds trust and respect, and helps deepen the friendship. The only sticky point is if she too is starting to develop feelings for ya' too. If that's the case...the deliberations begin, and from there you're on your own. If it looks like there's a realistic possibility of something becoming of you two, tell your best friend immediately, and then after hearing him out, decide what to do.

Sounds tricky, but before you even consider doing anything with this Erin character, you'll have to run it by your friend. That's the rules, I'm afraid. From what you say, though, it seems to me that it could be worth a shot, though. Good luck with that.
