The last twelve months have been pretty awful as far as my writing goes. I've had an awful case of writer's block and as a result, most everything I've written seems like it's taken forever.
But it's gone now.
Poof. Just like that.
Part of it was getting out of town for MagFest and cutting loose some. I think part of it was tying up some loose ends and cutting loose of some personal demons and ghosts.
At my current speed and state of mind, I should have half of the first write of the sequel to my book, a short story, and a buncha poems all done by the end of the year.
All projects I just about laid down last year.
While most of my poetry would be considered drivel by a true poet, my short stories and my book have never given me a bad review. But writing is my emotional relief valve. Having it blocked for the last year has been, to say the least, painful.
God, it's good to be back.
