I have to wirte a research paper for my Senior Project at school. If I dont do this, I dont graduate. Now, I wrote some extremely nice papers in the past but now, I can even make a key stroke on the word document. You see, my research paper must follow my project which is a gonzo 4G63-T swap on a Hyundai Excel. So my research paper has to be on cars. I was going to do how import tuning should not have so many restictions on California, but since there's only one page on the internet and no books (You must have at least 6 refrences) I cant do it. Then I deceided to say that SUV owners should take a speical test in oder to drive it (I dont belive in that), but that thesis doesnt hold my interest for a second. So can anyone think of a good thesis statement involving cars that has a good amount of sources?

Car Pollution and the Ways to Reduce It

Street Racing Subculture

Ricing: The Import Automotive Crafting Culture

Professional Automotive Racing (could be Nascar and/or European leagues)

The Design of Automobiles Against Wind Resistance Factors (basically this could be a history of auto designs going from the box-like cars of the 1920's to the sleek late model cars)

Sport Utility Vehicles: A Rollover Distaster (you could give a background of the current/past research and offer ways to improve upon it)

That's all I've got right now. I'll post if I can think of anymore later.

Hmm, cars...
Maybe you could write something about the history of the concept of the "great American road trip", and the role it has played in American culture through the years? Sorry, I don't have a suggestion for the actual thesis, but I think this could be an interesting topic for a paper.

Some web pages and books I found with Google:

Why not SUVs as the new soccer mom vehicle?
