Diablo 3

Some new Diablo 3 previews, specifically the fallen ones. I am really impressed by the detail of the new graphics the movie shows. There are 3 screenshots but they kind of suck.

I can't wait for this game to actually come out and I will buy or upgrade if I have to just for this game.

Earlier while looking for something else on Google I clicked one result at Youtube and found this nice little preview video featuring gameplay from Diablo 3.

This shows the barbarian kicking ass and something I never even imagined. In Diablo 3 you can use your environment "as in floors, walls, ect" to kill your enemies. It show how a barbarian destroys this wall and when it falls over on his enemies it kills them.

I think they have just locked in my purchase, :rolleyes:

I remember hearing rumopurs ages ago that Mythos was going to be the third diablo game, without the series name, thankfully it was only a rumour :)

new diablo looks great! We used to play this game to 3am and forget to blink sometimes, ahh the pain :P

If you have Diablo 2 Expansion you can download this mod for it. Here's the post I made for it with pics. To use it do it with a fresh install of Diablo 2 Expansion and add the files as instructed.

You can also use PlugY with it. PlugY allows you to have almost unlimited storage space in your stash which helps A LOT, and it and the mod are both free. Note you can ONLY use patches for Expansion up to 111, plugY will NOT work with patch version 112.

If you like Diablo 2 Expansion you must and I mean must get this mod. It's absolutely incredible.

Your Welcome. I hoped you'ld like it, and it is as cool as it looks. I myself choose Amazon with bow but you can't use some skills in this game if you use others. If you choose bow don't choose any spear skills and stick with bow, trust me the bowazon is an awesome character. I shoot 42 arrows a second and have some life leech so the more monsters the better.

Read up on rune and jewel words, they're different but better and can only be used on NON magic items. Uniques are great and can be upgrade better than other items since all bonuses are also upgraded.

Save up on JEWELS 'not gems' since if you cube a few jewels with an item you can sockets that way, and if you put stuff in sockets and cube that item with 3 portal scrolls you can separate the items in the socket from the item. That way you can take say jewels, gems, or runes you used in an item and if you find another better items "as in weapon or armor" you can use the stuff you put in the sockets in the better item and sell the old item without loosing whatever you put in the sockets.

I recommend going to the homepage of MedianXL and like I did and copy all the tutorials/faqs by highlighting all the text in each one and copy to a text file on your harddrive in one folder for easy access. By doing this if you need help you can pause the game and hit CTRL ESC keys and it'll minimize MedialXL and then just go and read the text file you need and then just click on Diablo in the taskbar and the game maximizes again and you do what ever you need to do.


Almost forgot. Search on google for MedianXL Runeword Browser. This program opens and gives a list of all runes and what to combine them with to create items.
It has checkboxs for runes and for items "helms, bows, ect" and click on each to see what the runes you have will do if combines with certain items and then shows you the abilities each item gets and some are incredible and some are just not worth wasting the rune on.

Hey Shawn. I'm excited about diablo 3 also. :) I did play that Median XL mod for a while. I really liked the enhanced effects and new everything. Only after a while it just made me feel guilty because i loved real D2 that much... that and the screen lag on Median XL can get really bad.

Yeah you really need a fast processor and an agp or pcie card with a lot of ram I found to kill that lag which I still have. I played a bowazon an amazon with a box and I just mowed everything down with 42 arrows fired in all directions per click with 18% life leech and elemental damage also. I still have her in a terror level game but now I'm leveling up an assassin but she is so much harder to play and in the right circumstances I die quite easily.

Unfuckenbelieveable, I just saw a new video of Diablo 3 "at least new to me" over at Blizzard.
It shows the Barbarian which I've already seen and the witchdoctor and Deckard Cain has an appearance also.

I couldn't believe how cool the game looked as they played. The video must have been around 10 minutes and I wasn't bored once the entire time. Damn the enemies were coming from everywhere and they had this one part when showing the witchdoctors powers which really made me smile since it was so cool. Well if you've played the original Diablo they had this spell called firewall. Well in Diablo 3 there is one called Zombie Wall, a wall of grasping writhing zombies rises right out of the ground and anything that gets near it is ripped apart, so cool.

I mean, I collect PC games in general and when I check out some of the games that were released around the same time as Diablo 2 (like Balder's Gate 1998/Bioware), they pale by comparison. And not only that but the game's staying power has kept gamers like us interested for over 10 years now - on the same game! That's phenomenal. I know about every year, I get the itch to play a character through to hell without rushing.

BTW, I gave Meridian XL another go. Playing it on a different gaming box I built recently and the lag situation is fixed. I'm definitely enjoying it. :)

I sent an email to the Diablo 3 team asking if it would be available for on home play with AI or just MMORPG and they said they couldn't say at this moment. I mean really that is a seriously basic question since that would be in the fundamental part of the programming knowing if it was playable like diablo 2 without internet or like WOW internet only.

I only asked since if I bought the game and I lost the internet it would be a total waste of money not being able to play a game I payed for because I couldn't access the internet.
I really think these game companies forget that the internet is not something that everyone has or can afford or that is even available to them in an area or building.

They did it with WOW and that was huge. I just hope they don't mistake that result as an indication that online only games are the best route for success.

Last night they sent me back a form asking how my service was. I gave them high marks since it wasnt the person giving me the info's fault that it wasn't available. I also let them know I thought Diablo3 looked like the best game out there like Diablo2 when it came out. I also said if it didn't have a single person offline play option I could not and would not buy it. I'm sure that they will but it would be nice if they had it in the FAQ's section on their website.
