Ryusui (http://theryusui.googlepages.com/) and d4s (http://bof2.blogspot.com/) have completed the english re-translation of Breath of Fire II. If you've ever played BoF II you may realize that the job done as far as localization is pretty much terrible. Very literal text ("be used as fishing rod" is an item description for a Fishing Rod for example) and just plain confusion abound in the original script.
This patch retranslates the game from the from the original japanese script fixes all of these errors. There is also a completely new intro with a song (and lyrics) as well as other enhancements. It's very much worth checking out if you like this game.
You can get it from Ryusui's (http://theryusui.googlepages.com/) site or our Breath of Fire II (http://www.zophar.net/translations/snes/english/breath-of-fire-ii.html) page. Also, d4s's German version of the patch, upon which the English version is based can be found here (http://www.zophar.net/translations/snes/german/breath-of-fire-ii.html).
