LMAO! Thanks. :) I found the .ips patch. I tried patching it and it is corrupted. x.X

Is there any patchers I can use for a FDS file? Beside SNESTool, which is for DOS. X.x SNESTool won't work on my DOS Box for some odd reason.. SOrry for being a pain.
I can patch .NES and .SMC files like nothing but I can't find a program that can patch IPS to a FDS. :P

Are you sure it isn't the FDS that is bad? As far as I know, the filetype of the thing you're trying to patch shouldn't matter.

It's the ROM. I tried it with the 2 copies of Esper Dream that I had on my system (labeled as 'Esper Dream (Japan) (v1.0) [b].fds' and 'Esper Dream (Japan) (v1.1) [b].fds' (yes, I know [b] means bad)) and they both crashed out upon patching. So I downloaded another ROM from an IRC file server and it works fine with the patch. FDS Spray (http://www.zophar.net/utilities/nesaud/fds-spray.html) names the ROM that works with the patch 'Esper Dream (v1.1) [2-7a27e52d].fds'.

Incidentally, I would suggest using Lunar IPS in the future, much cleaner interface than IPS XP and it doesn't require an install. Either will work, as will any other IPS patcher, but Lunar IPS just feels cleaner than IPS XP (which is what I used for a couple of years prior to switching.)

Also, just FYI, [a] means alternate, as in, there are some minor differences between the [a] version and the regular version, but often nothing you'll actually immediately notice in-game. (Bug fixes are one common example, also ROMs that somehow got one or two bytes changed but still run fine.
