Hi, I am trying to make myself a playable iso I can use with spyro the dragon: year of the dragon.

I am using win iso to make it but one file named speech.str that is an str file(I dont know what that is) can not be put into the iso for some reason. All of the other files without it go through fine but then I try to play the game and it doesnt work. Also, that file can not be coppied into other folders, but the rest of them can. Does anyone know what i can do to make that file work?

Ps I can play the game by running it off of the cd but I want to make it an iso so I can play without the disk and just by using my flash drive.

Thanks for any help

An STR is an audio format commonly used in Playstation games.

I'm not understanding though...you are trying to copy the files to a folder on your computer first?

Have you tried using any programs besides WinISO?

Here is a thread (http://forums.ngemu.com/misc-psx-discussion/34515-how-make-perfect-backup-psx-games.html) with directions on creating PSX ISOs using various other applications, perhaps one of them will work for you.

This should be in general emulation. ;p

I guess youŽre trying to get an ISO-image from your original (or CD-R Backup) Spyro game, right!? If so, forget about WinISO or similar progs. Get a copy of Alcohol120% to dump your image. There is a profile for Playstation games in Alcohols image-wizard. IŽd prefer to dump it in *.ccd;*.img;*.sub - format (equal to CloneCD) to gain compatibility with ePSXe or similar emulators. Also ISO Buster is worth a look, if you dislike Alcohol120%.

I prefer IsoBuster (http://www.isobuster.com/), myself.

I would probably use ImgBurn.
