so the meeting i had yesterday miserably failed. the business was set in stone in their methods and code...nothing is going to change them.

i was drifting off to sleep (again) today and the idea hit me...

my uncle handles airline software. if you flew on a plane, you probably used his software. he has the only license in the world for it...and he was making mad cash off of it before sep 11th.

since then travel has stopped and it's gone down hill....so....he's looking for another set of software to sell and support.

bingo. i'll write the software for my idea and he can market it. i'm an excellent programmer...he's an excellent salesman.

can't wait to call him.

no, i'm still pissed at the world....i'll never stop holding everyone and everything in contempt.

if i can get a grant from the government to program it (say...$200,000 over 2 years)...then you can quit your job and help me program it. you'd basically be getting the same amount of money you make now...but i'm not sure if they tax grant money.

only problem is once the grant is done, there's no guarantee of income (like my current situation). not sure if you're willing to take that risk and move back to harrisburg.
