Hello everyone, I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether it is possible to run the game Bug! on any sega saturn emulator or whether I am wasting my time trying. I managed to get Saturne running but Bug! does not seem to work on it. Does anyone know an emulator that will run it for sure? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried SSF? I don't have Bug to test it with, but it does seem as though it's one of the better Saturn emulators.

Sega Saturn emulation is mediocre at best. SSF is generally considered the best.

It is supposed to work on the newest SSF emulator however on my computer when I open the SSF.exe it gives me a windows error message... :( does anybody know what may be causing this? I have an AMD Athlon XP 1800+ 1.53GHz and 1.50GB of ram
is it too slow for this emulator?

What is the error message?

It's just a normal windows error message where you can choose to either send the error report or not... all it says is this:
SSF.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Basically, yes. here's the CPU requirement.

"CPU - At least a Pentium 4 3.2Ghz or AMD64. SSF cannot run on a Pentium 3, Duron, Athlon XP or 32bit Semprons (Socket A) due to requiring SSE2 instructions not available in these and older CPUs. A Core 2 Duo E6300 is recommended for full-speed."

SSF and Yabause are the two better Saturn emulators, and they're both pretty mediocre. The only other alternative is buying a Modchip for your Saturn, which is near impossible now. It's a shame, because there are some Saturn games (NiGHTS, Burning Rangers etc) that really deserve to be played.
