My new Earthbound preview hack is ready for download.

I have just finished working on my Colinbound preview hack. After secretly slaving away on this hack for several years, I think it’s about time for you guys here to have a chance to play a preview version of my game. What’s new in Colinbound?

*New battle sprites.
*New windows colors.
*New characters.
*New stories.
*New magick spells.
*New items.
*New enemies.
*New plot.
*New enemy attacks.
*New friends.

I love Earthbound. Really, it's one of my top 5 favorite games of all time (along with snes zelda, ocarina of time, super mario 64, and maybe super mario rpg)

So if you made an entirely new adventure using the old engine, I'm pretty fucking amped about it.

Looks promising from the screens--I would have left "Magic" spelled the original way though. Looks like you just changed that to change it.

How much do you have left to do? If it's not much, I'll just wait for the completed version.

Yes, it's mostly a new adventure as I said in my initial post, there are new enemies, new attacks, new characters, new text etc. But you'll recognize it as an Earthbound hack right away. ;) It's similar to the hack Jonbound. Have you played it?

How much do you have left to do? If it's not much, I'll just wait for the completed version.

I still have about 2/3 of the game left to hack but that's mainly just hacking the text blocks in parts beyond Threed. I think I should be done the fully complete version in another year or two... maybey...

This hack goes all the way up to the factory north of the town of Threed.

Yeah, it's wrong.

Anyways, is this a totally new story...like the main story? Or is it the same story with different plot points and some new enemies/friends/items?

I've tried to force myself to play Earthbound (and Earthbound 0) on several occasions. I just can't get into it, no matter how hard I try.

Yeah it takes a long time to hack games with a lot of text in them. Especally given Earthbound's completely ridiculous way of laying out its data (i've looked, but i'm sure hacking apps have come along since then).

Oh yeah, 2 great programs jhack and ccscript make hacking earthbound extremely easy, that and all the documentation.
