How do you save state in FCEU Ultra?

Hi, I have a probelm with savestating in FCEU Ultra. I clicked on File: Save State As and everything worked just fine , but now it won't load said save state! Is there a better way to save state on FCEU Ultra? please help.

Use FCEUX if you're not. File-> Save State As... -> (and name it)
then "load state from" and pick the file.
