Super Metroid hacking

I am hacking Metroid 3 with SMILE (aka Super Metroid Integrated Level editor) and was wondering if any one could tell me where I can edit the title screen and the startup nintendo logo. thanks!

The tile tables aren't editable in smile, but the graphics are easy enough to do . . . Open smile and go into the graphics editor. At the lower left, you'll see a pull down list of "special gfx". Title screen and what not can be found in there. Smile will decompress the graphics for you (to later be recompressed when you have smile re-insert them), but you'll have to edit the graphics in a tile editor (most of the special graphics are in 4bpp mode, though others use different formats, so you'll have to manually set the mode to use in the tile editor).
